The short version
- This site does not collect personal information about youth. There is no youth registration form on it.
- There are no advertising trackers, such as Meta or TikTok pixels. Visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, and with Google Analytics only if you say it is OK.
- A few choices are saved only in your own browser, never on our servers.
- The newsletter form sends your email address to Constant Contact. The contact, volunteer, and tour forms email what you type to ALSO Youth staff.
What is saved in your browser
The site uses your browser's local storage for two things: which doorway you picked on the home page (young person, parent or caregiver, or helper), and whether you have already seen the tip about the Quick exit button. These stay on your device. You can clear them any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. See Browse safely for how.
Analytics and cookies
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies. Google Analytics runs only if you choose “That's OK” when the site asks about cookies. Then it sets cookies to count visits and see which pages help people. If you choose “No thanks”, or never answer, Google Analytics does not load at all. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and Google Analytics never runs on Get Support pages. ALSO Youth does not sell this data or use it for ads. When a form is sent, the site counts that it was sent and, for the contact form, the topic picked, never what you typed.
You can change your answer any time with , also at the bottom of every page. Choosing “No thanks” there stops Google Analytics and deletes its cookies from this site.
To stop Google Analytics on every site, use Google's opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies for this site in your browser settings.
Forms
The contact, volunteer, and tour forms send what you type to ALSO Youth staff by email so they can reply. Those forms are for adults and general questions. Youth registration, counseling intake, and anything with a young person's details stay off this website: they happen in person or by email.
The newsletter form is for ages 13 and up. It sends your email address, and your first name if you give it, straight to Constant Contact, the service ALSO Youth uses to send its newsletter. This site does not keep a copy. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
